Towering Teens and Family Resource Centre (TTFRC) is a youth and family development platform focused on the holistic growth of teenagers and young adults.

We design and implement structured programmes that combine outreach, mentorship, leadership development, and family support to ensure that growth is not only inspired, but sustained.

StandOut Outreach

High-impact, full-day workshops for teenagers and young adults delivered across multiple cities. Structured sessions on identity, direction, and personal responsibility - creating clarity and challenging participants to own their growth. StandOut is the entry point into deeper engagement within TTFRC.

Legacy Mentorship

A structured mentorship system that guides teenagers and young adults through consistent growth, accountability, and the development of discipline and life direction. Participants are enrolled into cohorts and provided consistent mentor interaction, structured reflections, and support for navigating real-life challenges.

Family Resource Hub

Providing parents and guardians with the tools, guidance, and support needed to actively reinforce growth and create stable, enabling environments at home. Families are empowered to improve communication, understanding, and support - becoming true partners in their child's transformation.

Leadership & Capacity Building

Equipping young people with practical life skills, leadership ability, and the capacity to make informed decisions and thrive in real-world environments. Programmes focus on decision-making, responsibility, communication, and personal development - preparing participants for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

StandOut is the flagship outreach programme of TTFRC, delivered as a high-impact, full-day workshop for teenagers and young adults. Strategic Development Communications Specialist · Youth Development Advocate

Tessy Nongo Maina is committed to translating knowledge into practical impact. Her work spans public health advocacy, behavioural change communication, and large-scale youth engagement - designing structured systems that move individuals from awareness to action.

She is the convener of StandOut with Tessy, a multi-state outreach platform that has engaged over 8,000 teenagers across Nigeria - often delivered in collaboration with her husband, Mustapha Maina, an education professional whose experience in teaching and school engagement strengthens the programme's relevance for young people.

"Through TTFRC, the focus is on guiding young people towards clarity, responsibility, and purposeful growth - while building systems that sustain transformation beyond one-time engagements."
